Where should my focus be during this next 29-day cycle? 

When we draft a chart for the new moon, we get a sense of the energy that will be up for processing for the next 29 days.  

Okay what is this cycle about?   How do you get quiet and tap that other world?  The one you can’t see or hear, but you know it is there.    Tap tap tap that world for 29 days.

Welcome to Pisces new moon.   This is the final new moon for the zodiac year.     The year launched last spring with the Aries new moon and now here we are at the last stop before the next zodiacal year.   This is the month where we percolate on choices, loss of choice, dreams, visions, we look at what we hold in our thinking that is both elevated and perhaps make us go bump in the middle of the night.   

Pisces is where all our leftovers hang out.   Little bits of this and that.   Things that don’t make sense are in the realm of Pisces.  It is a world beyond a world.  A world on the other side of a veil.     As the final water sign, Pisces speaks to our feelings (like all water signs) but some feelings may not make ‘practical’ sense.  However, that does not mean they are not of value. Do the feelings reflect something going on in our psyche?  Is something being picked up by our inner radar?  Pisces is very intuitive.   Is there preparation in those feelings?  Is it a feeling of ‘good job, you are on the right track’?  Do they reflect our connection to our maker?   Or are those feelings based on doubt in self and in our maker?      What can we glean from these feelings?  Can we find inspiration?  Perhaps inspiration is just getting up and putting one foot in front of the other and saying, “that’s good enough.”   Or maybe it is more about the other side of Pisces, the humanitarian.   Looking at another person and realizing they need you to see them as a fellow human.   Empathy is a Pisces gift.  This does not mean we are doormats as we need to tap self-care as well.   

On the chart of this Pisces new moon, the sun & moon are in conjunction with Jupiter.   This 29-day cycle has some opportunities.   Jupiter in Pisces can speak to faith and belief.  Jupiter expands anything it touches.   Perhaps the greatest opportunity Jupiter can present is the ability to be in awe or in wonderment.   In that space there may unfold something we never considered which could bring an opportunity.    Of course, because Pisces is unworldly, some opportunities may not pan out but perhaps they begin a new journey and that is a reward.   With the Jupiter contact in the chart, it does speak to “It’s the journey not the destination” for 29 days. 

In the chart, the Sun/Moon are sextile to Uranus which is the wild card energy for the month.   Uranus says, “Hey let’s mix this up.”   The sextile has its own opportunities and with Uranus it may plop something down in front of us out of the blue which could inspire something new in us.  With anything Uranus, be light on your feet so you can seize the day, the moment, the thought, the thing.   It is all very creative (Pisces) and there is practical application (Taurus Uranus) you just need to be able to move on it.     

Mars & Venus 

We are following up on the Mars Venus energy that has been ping ponging around for the last couple of months.   On March 1, Venus finally hit 26 Capricorn 29 ending the shadow that began November 17.   Consider what you have learned about love, values, money, beauty, and creativity since November 17?   Is there a fresh perspective?    

In the chart, Mars and Venus are in conjunction with Pluto at 27 Capricorn.    Apparently, the universe (in all its humor) decided to give us one more round of depth of Venus and Mars for this 29-day lunar month.    There will be stories in the news that speaks to authentic love and valor.  Actions out of love.   Warriors for love.   As of this writing, one can see Mars and Venus joined with Pluto in the stories coming out of the Ukraine.   Capricorn, the sign of old age, is seen in the images of old ladies and old men taking up arms to fight for their country.   On a personal level there may be some fight that is worth our attention that needs to be addressed.  Perhaps it was something we didn’t think we would have considered important before November 17 but now we are ready to suit up.   If you know your chart, look to see which house has 27 Capricorn and see if there is a theme from that house for your fresh fight.   

On March 3, Venus will conjunct Pluto for the 3^rd time, consider what is coming back to you that you may have experienced on Dec 11, Dec 25 at the previous conjunctions?  How does it connect with values, money, love & beauty?     On March 5 we should see a change of energy.  Both Mars and Venus move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius.  Then a bit later in the day on March 5, at 00 Aquarius 02 Venus conjuncts Mars.  Astrologically, this is a big day.   From that point on Venus will be back to her usual speed which is faster than the warrior Mars.  We should feel a change when both planets move out of stern Capricorn, who always has his eye on authority and asks, “Who is in charge of this joint?”   In Aquarius, Venus and Mars aren’t looking at the person in authority but instead are looking around at their fellow humans and finding their like-minded.   “Are you into this?”  “Yeah me, too.”   “Are you not into this?  Me either.”    It could be big; it could be small but there will be opportunity to connect with like-minded.   On March 19 Venus will square Uranus.   Values and love get a twist from out of the blue.  Unexpected winds of change.  Innovation that may not be anticipated but later could bring something significant in its novelty.  On March 22 it is Mars’ turn to square Uranus.  Like Venus this is not an unusual aspect in any year with Uranus, but there is disruption and volatility on that day and the run up.   Take extra caution in your personal life, don’t rush.   Take your time.  In the mundane world we could see something explosive or disruptive that gets our attention.   

By the way, just to be clear, Saturn, the task master planet, is in Aquarius and does have a watchful eye on Venus and Mars.  There is a way to find community and still be responsible.  Saturn will make sure we figure out our responsibilities in our life, in our community through love and action.   

Release 

One note about Pisces.  This is the cycle where we can release.  Stuff that we don’t want can find a place in someone else’s home.  Ideas that no longer serve us can be shelved.   We can disconnect from old hurts by helping others.   We can release our ‘doingness’ and just be.   Float in the Pisces Ocean.   Letting go is okay. 

In Conclusion: 

Enjoy some of the elevated energy that will unfold in the 29-day cycle.  Where there are hurdles, take a beat.  Deepen your connection to spirit or however you connect to the great unknown.    Never forget the power of prayer and remember you are just a human like the rest of us trying to find our way.     See you at Aries new moon where we will launch our new treasure maps!

New moon: Plant seeds, make calls, activate, start projects.   Activate something that will ideally lead you to more.  This is the phase where INTENT is critical.  Even if the results are not immediate, the intent is there.  You may not have all the answers or road map, but you should put out your Intent.

This focus:     How do you connect to the bigger world?  How do you find your own inner sanctuary?  How do you find peace?   Where is your faith?   How do you connect to your own radar?  What is it telling you?  What seeds can you plant that tap your inner mystic? 

Special note:

3/3:  Mars conjunct Pluto.  Anger that inspires evolution.  Actions that reflect transformation.  

3/3: Venus conjunct Pluto (3^rd time-- 12/11 first time 12/25 second time) What theme around money, beauty, values is up again? 

3/5: Sun conjunct Jupiter.  Faith and spirit feel expansive.  

3/5: Mars enters Aquarius.  Actions connected to humanity, groups and friends. 

3/5: Venus enters Aquarius.  Love and creativity found in circles of like-minded and in communities. 

3/5: Venus conjunct Mars.  Love of fights. Fighting for love.  Actions based on values.  Actions connected to community. 

Crescent Moon Phase

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything.  Who called you?  Even the silliest things when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket.  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

Focus on: What are you learning about your practicality?  What are you learning that will support your resources?  What are you learning to build up your finances?  

Special Focus

3/6:  Mercury square Nodes:  What is the practical thought?  What is the thinking for humanity?  What thinking needs to be jettison for a more pragmatic application? 

3/9: Mercury enters Pisces –fuzzy thinking but perhaps inspired. 

First Quarter Moon

First quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received. Or we feel our instincts guide us on something.  We pursue again.  We make another call, or we see someone. We mail something.  We stir the pot again.  This can be a time when we realize that the goals, we planted on new need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away.   Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them?  Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects.  Some independence may need to be exerted. 

Focus on:  What actions are you taking tap the power of ‘new information’?  What actions are you taking that speak to your ability to adapt?  What actions are you taking that help build a net around you of connections?

3/13: Sun conjunct Neptune.  Finding inspiration.  Finding prayer.  Going deep inside for reflection.  Intuition is high.  Prayer is easy to tap.

We refine our information.  We pick and choose, we discriminate, and we organize to be ‘Virgo’ like.  We sort through details.  Have we missed something?  How are we sifting through the information?  Go back and make sure something hasn’t been neglected.  Refine our actions.  

Focus on:  How are you refining your strength?   How are you refining that which makes you special?  How are you refining your ability to be big?  How are you sorting through drama?

3/17: Mercury sextile Uranus.  New creative thinking and communication.

Full Moon:  We make the needed adjustments on the things we planted. Usually, emotions are up and running and for those people who perhaps did not utilize the new moon and the rest of the waxing moon, this is when emotions can get the better of us.  There can often be a big emotional break, for no other reason than to get back on track.   Some partnership will offer up some balance.  The moon is bright and full and there is no room for shadows, what is reflecting on you?  

Focus on:  

What are the details?   Of everything.   How are you working on the thing that speaks to you?   There is a transformative component to the full moon.   What is going on with your schedule?  How do your daily actions speak to your overall life? What details need your focus?   Where is it time to get lost in the weeds in order to find faith? 

Special focus 

3/18: Sun sextile Pluto.   Actions that come from transformation.   

3/19: Venus square Uranus.  Money and values are tweaked by something out of the blue.   

3/20 Sun enters Aries

3/20: Mercury conjunct Jupiter.   Broad thinking.  Expansive thinking.  

Disseminating

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.   And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.  

Focus on:  How are you sharing your ability to let something die so something new can grow?  How are you sharing your ability to navigate shared resources?  How are you sharing your ability to focus? 

Special focus:

3/22: Mars square Uranus.  Disruption, explosive, out of the blue, breaking down old thoughts and groups.    

3/23: Mercury conjunct Neptune.  Creative, beautiful thoughts.  Pronounced dreams.   

3/23: Mercury sextile Nodes.  New thinking that will encourage stability and practical application while also letting go that which does not work.  Thinking about new growth and death and rebirth. 

Last Quarter Moon Phase

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense.  And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living “The serenity prayer”

Focus on:

What actions are you taking that speak to your role in your community?   Where are you making choices that elevate your values and showcase them for others?   What actions are you taking that speak to your own authority in the face of authority?

Balsamic:   We let go.  By releasing we can prepare for the new.  

Focus on How are you releasing group thought?  How are you releasing your clan’s thinking?   How are disconnecting from groups?  

Special focus:

3/28 Venus conjunct Saturn.  Sobriety around love and values.   Holding on and distilling it all down to love.  

3/30: Venus square nodes.  Money and resources may feel bumpy.  Cutting down to the necessities   Values first.
