Sagittarius NEW MOON 2019

Where should my focus be during this next 29-day cycle? 

When we draft a chart for the new moon we can get a sense of the energy that will be up for processing for the next 29 days.  

Okay what is this cycle about?     How can I be big but also stay small?   How do I let the world know I am here but also stay grounded?   These are the questions that only our spirit can answer.

Sagittarius New Moon

I apologize for getting this report up after New Moon launched but I promise it is only because my own Sag planets have been activated and are dragging me into adventures that I never planned.  Of course. How Sag. 

The Sagittarius new moon and twenty-nine day cycle is when we all get BIG.  Big:  Thoughts, ideas, goals, visions, adventures, conversations, drinks, food, pleasures and above all big bridges.  Sag says, let me find the bridge to that other place where different; people, things, ideas, and places live.   Things that are ‘foreign’ to me.  Let me get over there!  

The Sag cycle is similar to the cocktail party waiting for that one person to arrive who activates everyone.   It goes from being a fine enough party to a barn burner!   During this period we will be busy connecting with others and perhaps being provocative, or laughing or brainstorming but basically just mixing it up.  We will be loved, we will be hated but we won’t be boring. 

The New Moon chart has smallish but still notable aspects with Mars and Uranus.   There is also an aspect between Sag’s ruling planet Jupiter and Venus.   All of these planets suggest the thrills and spills of a teenager at home, parents away, a pile of cash on the table and a car full of gas.    Fun for sure but someone needs to remember to stay sober.   Luckily Sag usually has a wise soul to keep him straight.   And sometimes the wisdom is within, we just need to get quiet to hear it.   If you get too far out, get quiet.   Remember to ask questions.  Sag likes to ask a lot of questions as it forms its opinions.  Avoid zealots.   Sag seeks truth all the time but do it methodically and with patience.  And tell your own inner zealot to get quiet.  Seek wisdom.   

The small aspect with Mars suggests a ‘go go go’ pace for twenty-nine days which will be difficult to avoid but at the same time we need to take care not to be rash.   For all of Sag’s enthusiasm and Mars’ ability to act—Uranus is sending a message (oppose Mars) to find a creative way to be super practical.  Strategy is critical even if you are moving fast and of course there will be much value in taking a moment.    “Wait, hang on” will be said one jillion times between now and Capricorn new moon.   

Jupiter conjunct Venus also stresses the importance of being big but also practical.   Given this is the holiday season, there may be less desire to buy a bunch of stuff.  For all of Jupiter’s dreams of an endless bank account, Venus in reasonable, (sometimes scrooge like) Capricorn will remind us to watch thou wallet.   The truth is Sag & Jupiter understand that ditching a car and walking to a fun little restaurant with a loved one can bring more joy than the super fancy expensive place on the other side of town.   Go down to the grassroots (Capricorn Venus, Uranus Taurus) and let Sag help you uncover joy without imploding your bank account.  And it is okay to tell your loved ones and family—“Let’s gog small for the holidays this year.”    Watch how many people say, “YES!”

Neptune ends its annual retrograde within a day of New Moon suggesting faithful, spirituality and mystical are the extras in every scene for twenty-nine days.   Neptune turned retrograde on June 21 at the Summer Solstice and now here we are on the edge of winter getting our faith back.    Actually, our faith never left us but we may have struggled for the last six months wondering if there is anyone out there hearing us.   The journey of Neptune in its home sign has tapped into a universal pathos as we look at the crisis conditions of humans, animals and environment.   The last time Neptune traveled in Pisces was 1847 – 1862.  As we think about that time let’s consider one word:  Slavery.   It was there for all to see, in reality, in literature in paintings and the newly created photography.  It is interesting to note the camera and film are connected to Neptune.   Now our 21^st Century path of Neptune in Pisces will continue its journey until 2025.   A lot will change between now and then.   Again, A LOT.    Each retrograde and direct period will ask us to find our spirituality and inner mystic for sure.  But it will also help us find our humanitarianism and sensitivity.  What social injustices will we consider?  Or how will we embrace humanity?   As Neptune unfolds from its long backward journey in 2019 we will find inspiration in quiet ways after it turns direct.  For those who need a boost to believe there is something greater out there than just us little humans we could be surprised by what we feel and learn during this Sag lunar cycle and a direct moving Neptune in Pisces.   It is a juggling act to be enthusiastic for the future (Sag hallmark) while facing the realities of a cruel world.  We all will find our way of processing it with Neptune’s long journey.    And please light a candle.  They help remind us there is a light.

Jupiter enters Capricorn

Here we go…… the last time Jupiter was in Capricorn was Dec 2007 until Jan 2009.   Hmm, what happened in that cycle?  What could it have been that caught everyone’s attention in a big Jupiter way?  Something that would have dealt with big business and government?  Hm what on earth happened during that time?  Let me scratch my head.  Oh, yeah, it was the biggest crash of the US stock market, September 2008. Followed by a long drawn out recession not matched since the great Depression.  Yes, that thing.  

Having said that it does not mean we will have a hit again, but it certainly suggests being prudent with investments is wise.   Capricorn is the most conservative sign in the zodiac.  Both politically and socially speaking.   Capricorn likes to be measured.  It likes to wait.    Jupiter likes to be big, loud, bombastic and let everyone know, “I’m here.”   But more to the point, Capricorn speaks to businesses, economies, governments and communities running well and if they are not, expect some new big energy coming forward.  There will be leaders to emerge in this period, for sure.  But with Capricorn there is a danger of getting caught up in pretense.  Just because someone is rich and famous does not mean they have solid plan.    Watch if you are caught up in the competition of who has more?  Who is ‘better’?   Remember there is beauty and freedom in appreciating the quiet and the small.  See what comes up with you once Jupiter moves into Capricorn.  Don’t be surprise if you feel it right away. 

In conclusion we seem to be in a confluence of hot and cold.   We have Sun/Moon in hot sag, there is Mars who always feels ‘hot’ even when it is in cold signs like Scorpio.  There is Venus who is cool in cold Capricorn and there is Uranus who so mental he is cold but he moves so erratic he looks hot and there is sensible warm Taurus.    If we feel hot and cold all month, our best move is to regulate ourselves.  Perhaps resist the desire to go too far up and wide so that we don’t go too far down.   It can be a very productive cycle and above all there will be lots of laughs.

New moon: Plant seeds, make calls, activate, start projects.   Activate something that will ideally lead you to more.  This is the phase where INTENT is critical.  Even if the results are not immediate, the intent is there.  You may not have all the answers or road map but you should put out your Intent.

This focus:  How are you finding your big adventures?  How are you bridging with new groups?  How are you finding the ‘foreign’ in your life and learning from it?  How can you get an education during this cycle?

11/28: Venus trine Neptune.  Love of human and love of humanity come together.  

11/28: Venus trine Uranus. Unusual loves, values get a boost in unique manner.  Brilliance shows up in love and in money. 

Crescent Moon Phase

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything. Who called you?  Even the silliest things, when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket?  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

Focus on: What information are you learning about business?  What are you learning about economy?  What are you learning about government in terms of how it is organized?  Where is your part in all this information?

First Quarter Moon

First quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received. Or we feel our instincts guide us on something.  We pursue again.  We make another call or we see someone. We mail something.  We stir the pot again.  This can be a time when we realize that the goals we planted on New need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away.   Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them?  Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects.  Some independence may need to be exerted. 

Focus on:  What actions can you take on your goals that speak to faith?  How does spirituality play a part in your  aspirations?  How does your faith speak to education—what are you learning?   

Special Focus:

12/08: Sun square Neptune.  Feeling ungrounded.  Feeling swept up.  What does your intuition tell you?  Where is your inner mystic?

We refine our information.  We pick and choose, we discriminate, and we organize to be ‘Virgo’ like.  We sort through details.  Have we missed something?  How are we sifting through the information?  Go back and make sure something hasn’t been neglected.  Refine our actions.  

Focus on:  How are you refining your practicality?  How are you refining your money?  How are you refining your ability to build something from the ground up?  How you refining your ability to get grounded?  

Special focus

12/09: Mercury enter Sagittarius 

12/11: Venus conjunct Saturn.  Love and values get serious.  Love can feel cold.  Responsibility is tied to love.

Full Moon:  We make the needed adjustments on the things we planted. Usually emotions are up and running and for those people who perhaps did not utilize the new moon and the rest of the waxing moon, this is when emotions can get the better of us.  There can often be a big emotional break, for no other reason than to get back on track.   Some partnership will offer up some balance.  The moon is bright and full and there is no room for shadows, what is reflecting on you?

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.   And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.  

Focus on:  How are you sharing your understanding of the importance of neighborhoods?  How are you sharing your siblings?  How are you sharing the power of balanced communication? 

Special focus:

12/15: Jupiter trine Uranus.  Unexpected financial boost.  Unexpected push up in the community.  Responsibility and brilliance merge. 

Last Quarter Moon Phase

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense.  And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living  “The serenity prayer”

Focus on:

What actions are you taking that address details?  How are addressing your diet?  Your calendar?   Are you doing things every day or every hour that are in sync with the spirit inside you?  What choices can you make that get you more in sync.

12/19: Mercury square Neptune.  Communication fuzzy.  Avoid zealotry thinking.   Take a moment and reflect.  Go inward.
