Behold the Vineyard

Share |

There once was a vineyard planted with strong, young vines. Over time, the vineyard grew unkempt. The vines grew tall, the limbs grew thick, and the leaves grew large. The broad leaves shut out the sunlight, and the grapes grew sour. To save the vineyard, the pruners must be called.

Behold the vineyard of America, whose earth is spread with human vines. The complex forms and rituals of politicians are the thickest branches; the words of politicians the biggest leaves. And now those leaves have grown so great that sunlight cannot reach the hearts of the people, and the fruit of the political branches has become too sour to eat.

At 1,960 pages Pelosi-care o’er towers the sky, and 2,074 pages of Reid-care reaches higher still. But Obama-care does not resonate with the people, because no health care can be healthy that fails to reach the human heart.

Health care mandated from on high is unhealthy, because it infringes the liberty of the American people. The unseemly rush to enact such draconian legislation speaks to the guilty knowledge of those who act with such precipitous disregard of the rights of a free people in a civilized society.

It is now time to call the pruners. [1]
