Pisces NEW MOON 2019

Where should my focus be during this next 29-day cycle? 

When we draft a chart for the new moon we can get a sense of the energy that will be up for processing for the next 29 days.  

Okay what is this cycle about? Let’s get as confused as possible and forced to slow down.  And during that time we get our inner compass screwed on straight.   Thanks, Pisces!

Pisces New Moon

Pisces New Moon is upon us and if I may talk straight up---It is going to be a difficult twenty-nine days for those people who love their facts.    

One plus one equals two in any normal lunar cycle but this particular Pisces period will not give a fig about logic.  Gravity won’t be working as it always does, meaning ---Up may or may not be up.  Down may or may not be down.   Everything is about interpretation.   

E V E R Y T H I N G !  

Why you ask, is everything topsy-turvy?    

Well let’s back up a bit.  

Two days before the launch of the Pisces New Moon, Mercury our planet of communication, turned retrograde at twenty-nine degrees of Pisces.    Things that normally work are not quite up to speed.   Communication breakdowns will be so sharp that we will be lucky to even talk to ourselves without getting into a fight.   Additionally, Neptune the ruling planet of Pisces is on top of the Sun & Moon in the chart.    This adds a level of confusion that cannot even be described.   Everything is fuzzy.   Neptune loves to dissolve those things that bind us by first getting us super confused.  The fact that it is on this new Moon indicates that during this twenty nine day lunar cycle we will be saying, “I don’t understand” way more than normal.   

To be fair we have had plenty of New Moons in the middle of Mercury retrograde but not always in the sign Pisces.  The last time we had a Pisces new moon in the middle of a Mercury retrograde was March of 2013. If you can remember what was going on in your life at that time it may hold some insights for this cycle. However, it needs to be noted that back in 2013 that new moon did not have an aspect with Neptune so we should expect more fuzz factor this cycle.   

If you have ever driven in fog then you know the key to staying alive is to drive slowly.   Such is the case with this lunar cycle with so much confusion.  Take everything bit by bit as it comes up.   Plan a lot of time no matter where you are heading or what you are doing for this whole lunar cycle, even the weeks after Mercury stations direct.  Our daily work may be a bit difficult to get through, however we are lucky that the Sun/Moon are in a sextile to Saturn who likes to keep everyone on task and Mars who can provide the energy.  God bless us all, we will keep up every day and fight the good fight and try to stay on task even when stuff goes to hell in a hand basket.  

On a bigger picture, this crazy confusion is not just a random act of  astrological cuckoo for no other reason than bugging the bejezus out of us.   There are a few bigger pictures.   Not the least, Uranus in Taurus.  Less than twelve hours before the New Moon, Uranus will have completed its long journey in Aries (which started in 2010) by moving into Taurus. We got a taste of this new energy last year between May 16 and November 6^th.   Since November, Uranus retrograded back into Aries where we got our sense of fight back on.  We learned more about the power for self and identity by ‘mixing it up’.  Doing something different showed us a new part of ourselves.  Now twelve hours before New Moon Uranus begins to ring our bell with new information.  Money.  Resources.  Land. Properties.  Owning stuff.   Banks.  Building something from the ground up.  The power of getting practical.   Uranus is electrifying these areas of our life.   And right away into Uranus’ new journey we are given a Pisces New Moon that is bringing in a huge fog bank for twenty-nine days.   

Perhaps we need to get soft and confused and porous so that the important information that Uranus will bring can be absorbed by us.   The confusion and fuzzy factor of Mercury retrograde will inform our brain that maybe the usual way of thinking is not in sync with what is coming.  Or maybe Neptune on this New Moon speaks to us letting go of rigidity. Some of us may get on our knees and pray.  Others will get in the lotus position and commune with spirit like we have never done in the past.    The cycle will count on us being malleable. Not that we need to be push overs but more that we go inward and see what needs to be addressed in our soul and are karma and dharma bank and perhaps make a shift.  Is it time to collect? Is it time to call a debt paid with spirit and say, “I’m done.”   This Pisces cycle will tell us much and how we end it will not be how we started it. 

Another big picture reason for our month of fuzzy and cloudy could be Saturn conjunct Pluto next January.   As we slog towards this important aspect we may get prompts that alter some of our courses.    The whole world will observe and experience Saturn, the planet of structure and restrictions when it gets on top of power hungry volcanic Pluto in January.  What it means for us as a society or personally is unclear.  Remember this aspect also leads us to the Pluto return for the USA in 2023.   2020 – 2026 will be a roller coaster and a lot of it will tie back to January 2020.  It is possible that this fuzzy Pisces lunar cycle will soften us such that we can get the important information we need as we head into the 2020’s.      

Also in this chart, the sun & moon conjunct Vesta who like Saturn and Mars will keep us going each day.  The asteroid Vesta is associated with keeping the flame alive.  In ancient Rome the maidens who took care of the flame and made sure it never went out were the Vestal Virgins.  To be clear it was not about sex (virgin) it was that they were not married since they were married to their job.  They kept Rome alive by not letting the flame go out.  For their service when they retired they ended up with a nice Roman era pension plus were highly honored by the citizens.    Vesta on this sun and moon bring a service element to this twenty- nine day cycle.  Vesta in Pisces speaks to our humanitarian and compassionate nature.  We are aware of those who need help.   We may in our fuzzy stupor help these people and find a new vision that we want for our lives based on this humanitarian component. But more to the point our twenty- nine days could be activated by a new flame or hope. Something that makes us get up every day and even if we know it could be confusing we still rally.   Or perhaps we realize we have been numb for a long time and now in this cycle we see we have lost our flame.   The awareness of losing it will plant the seed that we need it going forward.   This is the gift of Vesta.   And speaking of gifts---there is a psychic component to Pisces.   You may be your own best psychic!   

There is also a wide tough square with Jupiter in Sagittarius.  Watch your circle of friends and the news for those people who are righteous and pounding their chests too hard.   Look for the people who bring nuance to any situation.  Look for the humanitarian.  Avoid the addicts.  Again go inside to find what keeps you going---that is the pulse you need to follow. 

Mercury’s journey started on February 19^thwhen the shadow began at 16 Pisces 6.  It then stationed retrograde on March 5 at 29 Pisces 36.   It will trek all Pisces lunar cycle until it stations direct during the last quarter moon on March 28.  Trumpets will blare, horns will honk, cats and dogs and all the men and women on god’s green earth will together say, “Thank god that is over”.   We will all be relieved and sure there could be a few who will not experience anything of note but when it Mercury retrograde completes on March 28 our brains will be ready to tackle the new spring that comes with the Aries New Moon on April 5^thand our Treasure Maps!   And to that we say, “Amen”.   And finally by the time we get to the end of the shadow on April 16 this cycle will all be in our rear view mirror and we will have moved onto new horizon.  

In conclusion:  Pisces is how we find our inner landscape.  It is where we get in tune with meaningful connects with others and more to the point with spirit and with self.   This connection needs to be strong as we prepare for our Treasure Maps.  And even if things seem like a total clusterf*%$ remember it is part of a bigger picture to get us ready to ask for the right things for the next year that starts on April 5^th,  And we have Pisces to thank for this vision.

New moon: Plant seeds, make calls, activate, start projects.   Activate something that will ideally lead you to more.  This is the phase where INTENT is critical.  Even if the results are not immediate, the intent is there.  You may not have all the answers or road map but you should put out your Intent.

This focus:  How can we get quiet and find the answers to any problems?  How can we tune into the bigger picture?  How can we find ourselves even when we are completely frazzled? Pisces will throw so many waves on us until we get our hand on the rudder of our boat. 

Special focus 

3/6: Sun con Neptune:  Vague feelings propel us.  Intuition is up.  Humanitarianism is favored. Dreams pronounced.   

3/7: Sun conjunct Vesta:  What is the hearth we keep inside us that needs stoking?   How is our Faith being stoked?  

Crescent Moon Phase

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything. Who called you?  Even the silliest things, when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket?  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

Focus on: What information are you receiving that speaks to the value of being super practical?  What information are you receiving that acknowledge the importance of doing things step by step by step by step? How are you learning the importance of security?  

Special Focus

3/13: Sun Square Jupiter:  Enthusiasm can be sloppy.  Take the fire outside and move it inside and manage it.  No place for sloppiness.  Tap your compassion. 

3/14: Mars trine Saturn: Hard work feels good.  Bringing energy to something important for career or for position in the community.  

First Quarter Moon

First quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received. Or we feel our instincts guide us on something.  We pursue again.  We make another call or we see someone. We mail something.  We stir the pot again.  This can be a time when we realize that the goals we planted on New need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away.   Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them?  Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects.  Some independence may need to be exerted. 

Focus on: What actions can you take that support communication?  What actions can you take that support your connect with others?  What actions can you take that support your dexterous nature? How are you able to shift on a dime? Can you see the value?  

Special Focus:

3/14: Sun con Mercury:  What are you learning from getting quiet?  Find patience.  Find humanitarian.  Find gentle. 

3/15: Mercury square Jupiter.   Watch your thoughts.  Take care to avoid misspeaks.    How does fighting to be right hurt others and the soul?

We refine our information.  We pick and choose, we discriminate, and we organize to be ‘Virgo’ like.  We sort through details.  Have we missed something?  How are we sifting through the information?  Go back and make sure something hasn’t been neglected.  Refine our actions.  

Focus on: 

How are refining your strength? How are you refining your courage?  How are you refining your loyalty?  How is your ego being refined and separated from your self- esteem?  Do you know the difference?

3/20: Mars Trine Pluto.  Energy for transformational changes is pronounced and important.

Full Moon:  We make the needed adjustments on the things we planted. Usually emotions are up and running and for those people who perhaps did not utilize the new moon and the rest of the waxing moon, this is when emotions can get the better of us. There can often be a big emotional break, for no other reason than to get back on track.   Some partnership will offer up some balance.  The moon is bright and full and there is no room for shadows, what is reflecting on you?  

Focus on:  

Relationships!  Balance! Partnerships!  Fairness.  Equality. It is all up for us to process.

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.  And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.  

Focus on:  How are sharing your depth?  How are you sharing the power of co-mingled resources?  How are you sharing the power of sex?  How are you sharing the value of letting something die so something can be reborn? 

Special focus:

3/24: Mercury conj Neptune.  One incredibly fuzzy day.   Nothing is clear or a straight arrow.   Only thing you got is your intuition.  How’s it working?  & We will have this day again on 4/2.  

3/26: Venus enters Pisces

Last Quarter Moon Phase

March 28

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense. And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living  “The serenity prayer”

Focus on:

What actions can you take that support your career? What actions can you take that will put you out there in a meaningful way in the public eye?   What action can you take that bring order and organizing skills to matters that are important to you?
