Re: Saturn turns retrograde; Solar Eclipse; Mercury turns direct; Jupiter enters Pisces

Dear clients and friends:

Happy January wishes! Have you ever wondered why most new year's resolutions never come true? Its called "timing!" If you already made some new goals during this new years Mercury and Mars retrograde, you may have to re-think those plans until Mars turns direct on March 10th.

If you want better chances of making this year's 2010 resolutions stick, it is best to wait until the REAL astrological new year that begins on the Spring equinox on March 20th when the Sun enters Aries.

In the meantime, on Wednesday, Jan. 13th, the planet Saturn turns retrograde in the sign of Libra. If you may need a dose of reality, you will probably get it this week! As Saturn retrogrades through the end of May, it is a period to make those foundations in our lives stronger. It may bring up some old lessons that get repeated again too. So hopefully, we get it right this time around and can move on with our lives after Saturn turns direct again on May 30th.

This leads to Thursday evening's big event, (pacific time), when a Solar Eclipse occurs at 25 degrees of Capricorn. This is definitely a week NOT to rock the boat and lay low. Avoid making any hasty or impulsive decisions about things. Internal issues may come to the surface towards the end of the week.

On Friday, the planet Mercury ends its retrograde cycle and turns direct again. After Friday, is a better period to begin to consider making important decisions or purchases, but remember Mars' is still retrograde until March 10th. Major actions or new beginnings are best postponed until after this key date.

On Sunday, Jan. 17th, the planet Jupiter leaves the sign of Aquarius and officially enters Pisces for a whole year, making a brief transit into Aries from June 6th - Sept. 8th.

The transit of Jupiter in Aquarius has been about mental expansion, expressing new ideas, and forming new friendships or group involvements in our lives. It is more emotionally detached and intellectual in its expression. The need for freedom and independence is strong.

As Jupiter enters the sign of Pisces on Sunday, there can be a noticable shift on an emotional level. Don't be surprised if suddenly you are feeling things you haven't felt in awhile! Of all the water signs, Pisces is the deepest of them all. The area of expansion this year occurs in the realm of emotions, spirituality, and creative forms of artistic expression. There is a more heightened sense intuitively about things too. The other side of Pisces is also escapism. So as Jupiter transits Pisces for most of 2010, dream big and set big goals, but make sure all the steps on the road to pursuing those dreams are made of concrete.

The signs that benefit the most from Jupiter's transit in Pisces, bringing expansion and new opportunities, are the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, and to a lesser extent the earth signs of Taurus and Capricorn. Of course, if you have planets in your birth chart in any of these signs, there will be definite periods when opportunity will come knocking on your door in 2010!
