Taurus NEW MOON 2019

Where should my focus be during this next 29-day cycle? 

When we draft a chart for the new moon we can get a sense of the energy that will be up for processing for the next 29 days.  

Okay what is this cycle about? Changes are coming.  Can you feel it?  What actions can you take bit by bit that respond to those changes?

Taurus  New Moon

Taurus New Moon has arrived!    The fiery days of Aries have passed and we dig in deep with earthy Taurus.  

Last year on May 15 we had Taurus New Moon and four hours later Uranus moved into Taurus.   At that moment a bell was rung and even if we didn’t hear it, deep in all our cells we felt a reverberation.    We sensed ‘change is afoot’.    Ideas percolated, odd thoughts and curious encounters unfolded for a few months until August and the vibration felt less available.  Perhaps we had stuff on our docket that needed attention and whatever were those feelings or thoughts were now dismissed or ignored.    And so it was until March 6 when the bell rang again except this time it was much louder.   Like an echo in a vast canyon we heard “Hello” and now on this Taurus new moon we respond back with “I hear you.”   

Taurus is the first earth sign of the zodiac and it is very practical and earth bound.   Taurus connects to our: money, possessions, properties, security, land, banking, insurance, stock exchange, farming, gardens, cattle, cereal crops, wheat, apples agriculture, retirements, as you can see a very practical and grounded list. 

Taurus is ruled by Venus, and all of these issues speak to worth.  What are they worth to you?   How do you value your money?  Your security?  Your comfort? Your possessions?  Do you need more?  Do you feel insecure?   Or are some of you feeling trapped by them?  What changes can you feel are coming that connect to these things ruled by Taurus?   Read the list again and think about it.  

Now let’s go back to Uranus.  He has not been in Taurus since 1935-1941.   And here is again ready to do his thing.  Uranus speaks to electricity, technology, uniqueness, discovery, innovation and originality along with enlightenment, progressiveness, objectivity, novelty and ingenuity.  Nice, right?  Yes.  But it is also very rebellious (without a reason), reactive, disconnected and can put theory above human condition making it very COLD. 

Uranus will be in Taurus until 2026 and by the time it wraps it is not hyperbole to say the world will be different.    Look how much the world changed when Uranus was in Aries 2011-2018.   Expect a new set of changes between now and 2026.  Artificial Intelligence and robotic jobs are part of Uranus in Taurus journey.  And the truth is many of you are already feeling the changes that are on their way.  We should expect more messages during this Taurus New Moon and twenty-nine day cycle about changes that we may need to make.  A lot of us will be pondering – Plan B.  

The Taurus new moon chart has a small but pleasant aspect to mystical Neptune.   During the cycle we will feel the magical presence of something divine and bigger than our humanness.  We may reach out to our religion for comfort or knowledge. Our intuition could be strong, our observation of coincidences that feel more than just happenstance will be plentiful.    We will also want to do something very practical (Taurus) to help humanity (Pisces).  Neptune is a most mysterious planet and on some level we feel he is in our corner coaching us these twenty-nine days.  

Also on the new moon chart, the ruling planet of Taurus is Venus.  Venus  is the belle of the zodiac ball,  and she is feeling pinched by a square with Saturn and Pluto.     Watch the first week of the new moon to see if you feel undervalued in some area of your life.   Are others dismissing us?  Also at the same time you may feel a need to overhaul something that is undermining your own security.   Is it your health?  Is it your body?  Is it your fear?  Is it the way you show love?   Venus in Aries demands independence and strong sense of Self.  Pluto in Capricorn weighs the value of ‘status quo’ versus shaking things up.   But what part of self is selling out?   Or is our independence getting the better of us?  See what comes up between May 7 and May 9^thwhere you feel under valued or you decide something no longer feels ‘worth it’ to you.    

Speaking of Saturn: Saturn continues to sit on the South Node opposing North Node in Cancer.  As we have discussed the last time North Node was in Cancer was between April 10, 2000 and October 13, 2001.  Obviously the big calling card in that cycle was 9/11.    For those people then who felt stretched by the obligations of work and the stress of climbing the career ladder took a moment after 9/11 to assess if the path they had chosen was in sync with their internal landscape.  Then as now, we consider if our skills, management and leadership abilities are in sync with what we really want in our life.   We also are looking out at the world and assessing if CEOS and big business along with elected officials are real actors of good or something else.   Again, that first week of the new moon will provide some insights when Venus squares the Nodes on May 6.   How are we getting in our own way to a richer connection to what we do and what we feel and how we navigate our world?  Lots to feel and ponder May 6-10. 

During this 29 day cycle we should be on the alert for the other side of  Taurus which can be jealous, inflexible, self indulgent, greedy, possessive and very risk averse.    A suggestion is to dig in deeper with Taurus and go get practical about something.    Jealous of another person’s talent?  Then spend some time honing your skills.   Inflexible then ask yourself about your fear of change?   Are you giving your fear greater power than it deserves?   Self indulgence?  Is there a pity party under it?  Or a fear of doing real work to improve your life in a concrete way because it might upset others?  How deep is your connection to pleasing others and is it getting in the way in a practical sense to your own goals?       If you are really stuck, go check out Louise Hay or Carolyn Myss websites  or any other self help advocates and see if you can get some practical advise to shift your energy.   And for sure go out doors and feel nature to give yourself a tune up.   Go to the park or the woods or the beach our your garden. Just get out of the artificial light and feel the earth.  

In conclusion: This Taurus cycle is an opportunity to get connected to some real changes coming that will need your attention.   Small concrete changes can more a life.  Bit by bit.  It does not happen over night but with time and discipline you will get where you want.  It takes a willingness to be in tune.  See what comes up these 29 days and answer any calling you hear or feel with,   “Hello, yes I hear you.”

New moon: Plant seeds, make calls, activate, start projects.   Activate something that will ideally lead you to more.  This is the phase where INTENT is critical.  Even if the results are not immediate, the intent is there.  You may not have all the answers or road map but you should put out your Intent.

This focus:  How are you hearing changes coming forward?  How is your intuition speaking to you about concrete actions you should start to take?  How are you envisioning the importance of taking something bit by bit?   What can you start now?  

Special focus:

5/5: Mars oppose Jupiter.  Energy pushing against philosophy.  Actions that are challenging opinions.  

5/6: Mercury enters Taurus

5/7: Venus square Saturn.  Values and resources feel tight. Pressure is on.

Crescent Moon Phase

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything. Who called you?  Even the silliest things, when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket?  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

Focus on: What information are you learning about your family? What are you learning about your emotions?  What are you learning about your feelings?  What are you learning about food and nurture? 

Special Focus

5/8: Mercury conjunct Uranus. Brilliant and chaotic thinking.  Weird conversations or breakthroughs.  

5/9: Venus trine Jupiter .  Abundance. Joyful. Creative cup run over.  Love & Money high.  Values our out there. 

5/9:  Venus square Pluto.  Values around independence. Freedom versus status. 

5/11: Sun trine Saturn:  Structure and business support each other. Building up something bit by bit. 

First Quarter Moon

First quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received. Or we feel our instincts guide us on something.  We pursue again.  We make another call or we see someone. We mail something.  We stir the pot again.  This can be a time when we realize that the goals we planted on New need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away.   Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them?  Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects. Some independence may need to be exerted. 

Focus on: What actions are you taking that speak to your bravery?  What actions are you taking that speaks to courage?  What actions speak to love affairs?  What actions speak to YOUR creativity?  

Special Focus:

5/13: Sun trine Pluto.   Releasing the junk is easy.  Finding the new path of leadership is easy. 

5/15: Venus enter Taurus

Gibbous Moon

May 15

Gibbous:

We refine our information.  We pick and choose, we discriminate, and we organize to be ‘Virgo’ like.  We sort through details.  Have we missed something?  How are we sifting through the information?  Go back and make sure something hasn’t been neglected.  Refine our actions.  

Focus on: 

How are you refining your relationship?  How are you refining your need for balance?  How are you refining your negotiations skills?  How are you refining your shallow side?  How are you refining your ability to not taking a side? 

Special focus

5/15: Mars enters Cancer

5/16: Mercury trine Saturn.  Solid conversation.  Communication that supports new structure.  Business thinking and conversations. 

5/17: Mercury trine Pluto.  Communication breakthroughs.  New thoughts that bring out an important transformation.  

5/17: Venus conjunct Uranus. Dynamic creativity.  Unusual endeavors with loved ones.  Brilliance with Loved ones.  Resources from out of the blue.

Full Moon:  We make the needed adjustments on the things we planted. Usually emotions are up and running and for those people who perhaps did not utilize the new moon and the rest of the waxing moon, this is when emotions can get the better of us. There can often be a big emotional break, for no other reason than to get back on track.   Some partnership will offer up some balance.  The moon is bright and full and there is no room for shadows, what is reflecting on you?  

Focus on:  

What needs to die so something can be reborn? What are you afraid of dying?  How’s that hanging on working out for you?

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.  And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.  

Focus on:  How are you sharing your business acumen?  How are you sharing your inner CEO?  How are you sharing your ability to organize and lead others? 

Last Quarter Moon Phase

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense. And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living  “The serenity prayer”

Focus on:

What actions are you taking that speak to your spirituality? What actions are you taking that speak to your inner mystic?  What actions are you taking that tap fantasy?  What actions are you taking that connect to humanitarianism?

5/29: Mercury square Neptune:   Thinking that is muted and clouded.  Conversations are hard to follow.  Cloudy perceptions.

Focus on How are you releasing your independence?  How are you releasing your aggressiveness?  How are you releasing your need to be the leader?
