Pisces NEW MOON 2020

Where should my focus be during this next 29-day cycle? 

When we draft a chart for the new moon, we can get a sense of the energy that will be up for processing for the next 29 days.  

Okay what is this cycle about?    It is time to get quiet.   Just that simple.  Welcome it. 

Sabian symbol: 

KEYNOTE: The value of giving a spiritual or transcendent sanction to even the most commonplace interchanges between social persons and individual minds.

This is the last of five symbols emphasizing the interaction between people constituting a social group, small or large. It brings in the element of religious sanctions. The purpose of any organized religion is primarily to meet the need of giving a more permanent significance to interpersonal relationships within the framework of a particular way of life and culture. It helps to keep the society “whole” by making it “holy”— at least in principle and ideal. It justifies human behavior by blessing it with a divine Revelation of what is good and valuable. Pisces New Moon

Welcome to the final lunar cycle of the year, welcome to Pisces New Moon.  

For twenty- eight days we will have an opportunity to access values that speak to peace.    Humanitarianism, gentleness, kindness, intuitive, mystical, spiritual, dreamy, soft, faithful and artistic.     

In a rough and tough world, Pisces reminds us that there is power in calm and harmony.    At the end of the astrological journey, we weary travelers are ready for respite but to get there we must embrace quiet.     We slow down.  We listen to our body.   We listen to our intuition.    For twenty-eight days, when the softest voice inside of us speaks, we listen.   

The chart for the new moon has a delightful sextile aspect between the Sun and Moon with Mars and Uranus.    Mars the planet of action and fierceness supports us through Capricorn in finding practical ways to access our faith, spirituality or our kind, gentle, quiet self.     When an emotional squall tries to pull us down, we seek and find a practical solution to get out of the turmoil.  We don’t waste time caught in drama instead our gut and intuition show us a way to disengage.   At the same time, Uranus in Taurus also puts the accent on earthy practicality.   Of course, Uranus is not the same old same old, so when we seek an answer to a problem, Uranus will whip up something unusual or out of the blue that could serve the immediate need and also strengthens our faith, creativity and access to higher power.    Out of the blue something wonderful and practical can come but we need to be quiet to hear and see the gift. 

Also, in the chart, we have Mercury conjunct the Sun and Moon which can help with communication but not without a bump.  Because it is retrograde and an inferior conjunction, the other Piscean energies of anxiety, paranoia, lack of trust, confusion and martyrdom could pop up in the cycle.     Luckily, Mars and Uranus will provide an opportunity for us to let go of those weakened Pisces energies and try something different.   Doing the same old same old in a weak pile of messy emotions is not appealing during these twenty-eight days.   We seek solutions from our higher power to find practical ways to elevate our energy.   In other words, we are sick and tired of being sick and tired.   Answers to do things different are waiting, we just have to qet quiet to find the practical answer.

Mercury stationed retrograde on February 16 at 12 Pisces 53.  The next set of dates important to Mercury’s journey are:   

3 /4: Mercury re-enters Aquarius 

3/9:    Mercury station direct 28 Aquarius

3/16:  Mercury re-enters Pisces 

3/29: Mercury shadow ends 

Mercury retrogrades in water sign are prone to emotional ups and downs and we may want to ‘fix’ the emotions.   However, the emotions are not the problem but instead what is setting them off needs to be addressed.  During the retrograde, let the emotions speak to you and guide your intellect in a new direction.   On March 4, Mercury returns to the cool air sign Aquarius which will chill out emotions.   Then on March 16 Mercury stations direct.  Confusion settles down and responses are milder.  Once it turns direct we will have more information and can process bumps and issues and goals with a new cooler perspective.   

Saturn in 2020 

March 21(8:58pm PDT):  Saturn enters Aquarius 

May 11 (2:58pm PDT):  Saturn retrograde (1 Aquarius 57)

July 1 (4:37 PDT):   Saturn re-enters Aquarius

Sept 28 (10:11pm PDT):   Saturn station direct  - 25 Capricorn 20

Dec 16 (9:04pm PST):  Saturn re-enters Aquarius 

Dec 21 (10:20am PST):  Jupiter conjunct Saturn at  0 Aquarius 29

As we have discussed in previous reports, Jupiter and Saturn will form a conjunction in December.  The conjunction is in Aquarius setting off a new cycle for the next two hundred years where the two planets will only connect in air signs.    Since 1802 until now all the Jupiter Saturn conjunctions have been in earth sign, except for one 1981.  These conjunctions speak to the world moving from an agrarian society to industrial.   Now we begin a fundamental shift in air matters.  We had preview of the air energy when the two planets conjunct in 1981 in Libra which arguably helped set off the Internet/Computers and new technology.   It is not ironic that the foreshadow of air sign conjunctions was in Libra the sign of relationships and now forty years later we are all in relationship with our phone.    We will be heading into this new world in December which will be both subtle and obvious and profound.  More will be revealed in the coming months but in the meantime, Saturn begins its own two-year journey in Aquarius on March 21.   The last time Saturn was in Aquarius was 1991 – 1993 and before that 1962-1964.   Saturn which is the planet of rules and status quo is quite topsy turvy when it is in iconoclastic Aquarius.   Who is on top is subject to change.  And as we discussed new technology and humanity are Aquarius calling cards.  We should expect a new level of seriousness and work in both areas.     

In closing, we are in times of great changes.  Not itty bitty marginal changes but big changes.   How we find our place in the world going through transformation is yet to be seen but for sure we would be wise to qet quiet and learn to hear any answers.   

Final thought, be sure and take a look at your Treasure Map.  We are in the final cycle before we launch our new Map in March at the Aries New Moon.    Love your map, even if you feel you are missing results.  Let’s see what the last few weeks provide, plus never have a negative thought about something as profound as your desires.

New moon: Plant seeds, make calls, activate, start projects.   Activate something that will ideally lead you to more.  This is the phase where INTENT is critical.  Even if the results are not immediate, the intent is there.  You may not have all the answers or road map, but you should put out your Intent.

This focus:  How are you finding your gentleness?  How are you finding your quiet?  How are you finding your faith?   How is the quiet voice that knows so much getting your attention?  What changes are you going through or anticipate and what solutions are popping up?  

Special focus:

2/23:  Venus Square Jupiter – Values are stretched.  Watch money.  Watch love.   Are you pushing too hard?  Where’s your faith?  

2/24: Sun sextile Mars Faith gets practical actions. Structures that are trustworthy.  

2/25:  Sun conjunct Mercury.  Communication and thoughts can be fuzzy but underneath there is a something important 

Crescent Moon Phase

February 27, 10:36am PST

Crescent:  We will receive information, we will research a bit more, perhaps get feedback on stuff that we planted on new.  Perhaps get some information that will help down the road on a seed we planted a while ago.  We can collect some data now.  Even if you think you are not getting information, stop, and re-look at everything.  Who called you?  Even the silliest things, when they come up during Crescent are note worthy.  A parking ticket?  An argument with a spouse?  A refund check from the phone company?  All of it needs to be considered a message from the universe.  How can this information help you?

Focus on: What are you learning about your inner drive?  What are you learning about your inner warrior?  What are you learning about doing something first?  

Special Focus

2/28: Venus Square Pluto.  Love and power.  Control of love and power.  Transformation through love and power. 

First Quarter Moon 

March 2

First quarter: We do more actions based on the information that we just received. Or we feel our instincts guide us on something.  We pursue again.  We make another call, or we see someone. We mail something.  We stir the pot again.  This can be a time when we realize that the goals, we planted on New need more action from us, perhaps actions that involve breaking away.   Are there people who say they have our best interest in heart but fear us growing away from them?  Maybe we need to get help from others not the usual suspects.  Some independence may need to be exerted. 

Focus on:  What actions are you taking that speak to your mental state?   How are your actions based on quick thoughts?  How are your actions based on your ability to be adaptable?  What is going on in your neighborhood?  What about your siblings?  What actions are you taking that connect to your ability to communicate? 

Special Focus:

3/3 Venus square Saturn.  Love and Money feel cold.  Working for both is hard.

Gibbous Moon

Gibbous:

We refine our information.  We pick and choose, we discriminate, and we organize to be ‘Virgo’ like.  We sort through details.  Have we missed something?  How are we sifting through the information?  Go back and make sure something hasn’t been neglected.  Refine our actions.  

Focus on:  How are you refining your pride?  How are you refining your creativity? How are sorting through your inner hero/heroine?   How are you focusing on three days of being authenticate and checking your ego?  

Special focus

3/8: Daylight Savings Time in effect 

3/8 Sun conjunct Neptune.  Inspired thinking.  Faith gets a boost. Creative.  

3/8 Venus conjunct Uranus.  Values change.   Practical changes out of love and or money. 

Full Moon Phase

March 9, 2020

Full Moon:  We make the needed adjustments on the things we planted. Usually emotions are up and running and for those people who perhaps did not utilize the new moon and the rest of the waxing moon, this is when emotions can get the better of us.  There can often be a big emotional break, for no other reason than to get back on track.   Some partnership will offer up some balance.  The moon is bright and full and there is no room for shadows, what is reflecting on you?  

Focus on:  

What is going on with your daily schedule?  How does your daily life, hour by hour match your inner world?  Are the values you hold inside you supported by your schedule?  Your daily life?  Is there a disconnect?  What can you do to be in my in sync with your inner and outer?

Disseminating: Share information; find a teacher or someone who has more knowledge. Perhaps there was a big ol’ blow out on the full and one feels in need of support and help, this is the phase to reach out to one who knows more. This is when we find a rabbi or a minister or therapist who gives us more insight.   And of course, you too may be ready to teach and share your own information.  

Focus on:  How are you sharing information about power?  How are you sharing funds?  How are you sharing your own power?  How are you sharing the power of co-mingling with others?

Last Quarter moon:  Now we do the final adjustments to the seeds we planted on new. The final call, the final letters to send, we follow all the trails that came up that still make sense.  And we let the other parts lay fallow. It is a time of action but wise action.  It is a time for living “The serenity prayer”

What actions are you taking that speak to truth?  What actions are you taking that disconnect from hypocrisy?   What actions are you taking that offer a bright light of inspirations?  What actions are you taking that connect groups of people who may seem ‘foreign’ to each other?

Balsamic:   We let go.  By releasing we can prepare for the new.  

Focus on How are you releasing your coldness?  How are you releasing your stubborn righteousness?  How are you releasing theories that don’t really serve anyone?

3/20: Mars conjunct Jupiter.  Big actions.  Actions based on philosophical and pragmatic desires.   

3/21: Saturn enters Aquarius (see above) 

3/22: Mars conjunct Pluto.  Power and transformations are activated by actions.
