Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. No birth time diminishes the accuracy of the evaluation of the question, but I motor on nonetheless.

Obama has Mercury (how he thinks and how he communicates), the Sun (his identity, who he is), Part of Fortune (the rabbit’s foot syndrome), Uranus (sudden changes and also transcendent intelligence) and the North Node (shows the direction of one’s life) in Leo. Leos are rather child-like—not necessarily childish—and fun-loving and optimistic and always try to look to the bright side and the hopeful side of the matter at hand. Barack Obama is rather brilliant with the planet Uranus conjunct (in the same place) his Sun sign Leo. He can be frisky, youthful and somewhat of an actor—he can really draw upon deeply-seated showmanship in his politics when he is being true to his nature. He has to be cautious of his arrogance and try not to let his ego get out of hand. Leos can be over-optimistic and be the last to know when they are making a fool of themselves.

Because Obama has Mars in Virgo, he can live in his head and be too critical and analytical. His Leo and Virgo together can bring a balance between fun loving and analyzing a situation before making long-range decisions.

He has Jupiter in Aquarius—a true champion of the underdog and one who can look to the future globally and care about those who hunger and thirst for basic subsistence. However, his Jupiter opposes his Mercury in Leo which gives him the tendency to talk too much and to shoot from the lip. He needs to monitor and measure his message rather than try it out before millions and suffer the consequences.

His Moon is Void of Course at the critical 29 degree of Taurus. Remember Hillary Clinton has a Void of Course Moon in Pisces. Believe it or not, since she has a lot of outer planets in Leo and their Moons are extremely compatible, there are some similarities but not a lot. Hillary has too many planets in Scorpio—there is a trust issue.

But his Void of Course Moon is a caution flag here in weighing and balancing his chances in November in the General Election.

Another aspect I don’t like is that Obama’s Sun and Mercury in Leo are squared (remember that’s trouble in River City, folks) by Neptune in Scorpio. An affliction by Neptune is always suspect and something to count when considering someone who might be our President. (A lot of people try to crow how exalted and spiritual Neptune is—tell that to those of us Pisces who are ruled by Neptune like me. Neptune is a troublemaker planet. Period).

Obama’s Venus is in Cancer—the United States after all is Cancerian—which makes him compassionate and caring, but he needs to watch his tendency to want to control. That is one of Hillary Clinton’s Achilles heels (she and he have several; she, more, however). What can be a deal breaker for Barack Obama is that Pluto will square his Venus all year long. However on Election Night, Pluto will have retrograded into Sagittarius—but he is still vulnerable to being upset.

But the underpinning of Barack Obama’s positive chances of winning the Presidency are three natal planets that will anchor him and perhaps lift him up to higher ground: his Moon in Taurus makes a fabulous aspect to his Mars in Virgo, and both are in brilliant alignment with his Saturn in Capricorn. Jupiter will be in Capricorn on Election Night, co-joining his Grand Earth Trine.

There are other good aspects. His Progressed Moon on Election Night will be in Aquarius; the Election Night Chart has an Aquarian Moon as well. Venus that night will be in Sagittarius, a fire sign, compatible with his Leo planets. Saturn will be in Virgo on top of his Mars in Virgo—not so good. Mars and Saturn are like oil and water.

Having seen and intuited what his Natal, Progressed and Election Night Chart compatibility and discord are telling me is that he has a good chance of catching the frustration and anger and deep unrest that we have all been under for a long time and convincing us that he can make a difference.

Will he win? Don’t forget: Only God knows!

Albert studied with renowned astrology Byrd Knapp, Darrell Harris and Katharine de Jersey, as well as took Awareness Classes with Lee Jones at the Spiritualist Church in Los Angeles in the 70's, and attended the Corrado Academy of Perception in 1978 which led to his meeting actor John Travolta using the tools of manifestation learned at the Academy, and selling John El Adobe de Tajiguas, a 35-acre estate that abutted Ronald Reagan's ranch near Gaviota Beach in Southern California.

Gaulden worked in 1986 with international-best selling author of The Celestine Prophecy, James Redfield in Albert's innovative and one-of-a-kind personal empowerment program, the Sedona Intensive, which he founded in 1982. Albert was hired to use his gifts as an astro-intuitive to help cast Redfield's movie of The Celestine Prophecy.
