Happy Birthday Pope Benedict XVI, born April 16, 1927 at 4:15 am Marktl, Germany.

The Pope, known to his mother as Joseph Ratzinger, is a man weighed down with paradoxes. On the one hand his Pisces planets tells us he is loving and caring and a true servant of God but on the other, his Aries Sun Sign screams that he is an ‘it’s all about me’ kind of holy roller. The piety reeks through his every pore with his even-steven Libra Moon. ‘Hail Mary full of grace, ya di ya di ya’ overlays his repertoire that sizzles and sells his very academic and boring liturgical writings.

Resolute and fixed to the floor with his guardianship of the world-wide Catholic Church, in the US alone there are 65 million ‘registered’ Catholics, the Pope does not suffer fools or dissidents. If you decide to disagree with His Holiness you had best bring Alexander’s army and the Supreme Court to help you plead your case because there is little open-minded give with Signore Ratzinger. For you astrology buffs, he has Venus at a critical 29 degree of Taurus—afflicted by Neptune at 24 degrees of Leo. O, I kid you not, this successor to the late, great, beloved and hallowed Pope John II knows when to put on the show and check into the Ritz as he is apt to do when he is in New York on April 18^th.

He has a temper to rival that of Pope Alexander VI who when ‘called out for his “sins” in Florence, Italy (domain of the d’Medicis) by a priest named Girolamo Savonarola in the 15^th century (supported by the likes of Botticelli and Michelangelo, may I add) had him burned at the stake. This is not a history lesson but you need to know that Savonarola was so angry at the greed and sexual abuses of the Church and specifically Pope Alexander VI that he built a large fire and asked Catholics to throw their fine art and furniture and other items on the pyre—this was referred to throughout history as the “bonfire of the vanities”. When crossed Pope Benedict will diminish and destroy those whom he perceives to be his enemies.

If you want to know how to evaluate this recent ascendant to the throne in Rome, see him as bifurcated as any of us. On his good days he can be merry and bright and when the Moon foils him or his opponents gather he can be deadly. Remember when he got in trouble for dissing Islam and stirred the rattle snakes among Muslims when he spoke at Regensburg, Germany in September 2006? He was hung in effigy throughout the Muslim world for his insensitive rants.

He will have some challenges while he is in the United States and even more personal problems within the next eight months—all indicated by the transits to natal planets as well as progressed ones.

Having introduced you to the real Pope Benedict, let me proffer that he’s doing the best he can with what he has to work with. I wouldn’t want to be pope, now would you? I think not.

Albert studied with renowned astrology Byrd Knapp, Darrell Harris and Katharine de Jersey, as well as took Awareness Classes with Lee Jones at the Spiritualist Church in Los Angeles in the 70's, and attended the Corrado Academy of Perception in 1978 which led to his meeting actor John Travolta using the tools of manifestation learned at the Academy, and selling John El Adobe de Tajiguas, a 35-acre estate that abutted Ronald Reagan's ranch near Gaviota Beach in Southern California.

Gaulden worked in 1986 with international-best selling author of The Celestine Prophecy, James Redfield in Albert's innovative and one-of-a-kind personal empowerment program, the Sedona Intensive, which he founded in 1982.
